Wonderful! Thanks Jan!
To the Management of Monadnock Food Coo-Op, Just want to say How Disappointed I am as a local business owner, We worked with the building group to provide signage for your new building. I’m told the contract was awarded to an out of state company. I offered 4 price levels so price was not a deciding factor. We are an experienced 44 year old company so no excuse there. NOT A GOOD START FOR A COMMUNITY MINDED ORGANIZATION!

Hi Jim,
The exterior signage is part of the MEDC building contract and the sign construction and installation contract was awarded by the General Contractor. Since MEDC is building this for the Co-op and the exterior signage is part of the project, the vendor selection was not done by us. That said, I can tell you that even with the different price levels you offered, your cost was substantially higher than the vendor selected.
Michael Faber, General Manager
Thank you for the reply. I would have liked a chance to offer another bid. For the record I 0ffered 4 price ranges, $30K ( as the drawings specified) , 25K, 15K and 10K.
Shame on MEDC for not it in the Mondadnock Economic area. Jim Vitous
And shame on you for not demanding local products as you preach. Four good, capable signs shops here in Keene. Hope you folks take these comments to heart. Jim Vitous
Hi Jim,
I can see you are upset about how the exterior sign contract was awarded and I am sorry about that. However the vendor selected was outside of the Co-ops control.
That said, the interior signs are not part of the building contract and we are currently soliciting bids from sign makers for the interior sign construction and/or installation. I spoke to Peter from Signworx yesterday about it.
If you or others you know of are interested in quoting on this, please be in touch with me directly. Thank You, Michael Faber, General Manager 355-8008.
Mr Faber, leaving to run some errands now and will stop in at 3. If this does not work for you please call my cell 603-275-1311.
That sounds like an great idea. Do you have specs to work from yet? Thanks for the respect and for keeping to your word. Happy to come and meet with you.
Jim
